“„Supervision in counselling and the practical knowledge exam””
In this seminar we revise and strengthen the knowledge about everything that we learned in the first year in the second year. Future counsellors skilfully demonstrate their knowledge level by individually consulting a client. There is an individual consult demonstrated, using real life situations. The main task of the consultant is to successfully conduct a session.
Annotation of the counselling program: Most of the time: during everyday life, work, social activities it important to both gain and exchange different kinds of information. By creating a positive learning process and improving communication skills, there is a change to improve long-term relationships and ensure success and different achievements, as well as to revise gained knowledge.
Main objective of the counselling program: Refresh your general knowledge and revise the things you learned and realized. Revise theoretical knowledge and practical research from different areas of psychological counselling. Prepare yourself for practical work.

Skills and abilities obtained during the counselling program:
introduction into consultancy; dialogue – what it is and how to use it? stress and loss; fairy tale therapy; sex and money; symptoms – how they start and where do they come from? dreams and relationships; sand therapy; work with groups, managing; what is supervision?; work with goals and objectives; woman’s seminary (image of an ideal woman in real life)
Work methods used within this counselling program: work in a circle, self-reflection, discussion, role-play, theoretical and practical analysis.
Length of the counselling program: main program – 64 academic hours (8 days/8 h)
Where? When? How Much?
Lessons take place in Riga, Kalnciema Street 29a-6.. Enrolment and a tour with closer look happens once a year, in October, on the open door day of school.Studies start annually in November. Lectures are divided into seminaries; all together they are held for two years. Each seminary lasts two days (16 academic hours). Studies take place on Saturdays and Sundays once or twice a month from 10:00 to 18:00. Payment for one seminary (2 days) – 147 EUR.
