“Money and sex therapy in counselling”
Talking about sex in society is considered a taboo or a forbidden topic. We learn not to talk openly about it, which leads to thinking that it’s forbidden to wish for it. Nevertheless, there is always a lot of interest for this subject. Each of us has our own opinion on what is allowed in sex, and what is not. Our acts are based on our habits. But what is it that makes us do it that way? In this seminar we work with the stereotypes and sexual consignments that our parents passed on to us. We also learn to be daring and how to change your attitude towards what was accepted in your family. Sexual suppression, emotional and physical violence in our lives. It’s very important to get clear with what our attitude towards sex is, as well as what our behaviour is and what causes it. It’s a way to master new method and get more understanding about yourself.
Money, same as sex, is a subject worth not only brief thought, but some serious thinking – what are our feelings towards it? How we feel when there’s a lot of money and when there’s not much of it. What in the attitude towards it is inherited and what is coming from family. What’s our own attitude and relationship with money. How much it means for us and how important it is. What do we do when there are only few lats left in our wallet and what are our feelings in such situation. The most important this is to understand what kind of relationship we have with money, what is our attitude and the cause of it.
